Mohenjo Daro
It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was built around 2500 BC. It was one of the largest settlements of the ancient Indus Valley civilisation, and was one of the world's earliest cities. This site thrived along the fertile plains of the Indus River, until it collapsed mysteriously. This city remained unknown till 1911, when archaeologists made their first discovery. Interesting thing to note is that the fate of the civilisation and people here still remains unknown, although many theories have been put forward by experts.
